With his debut album Remember My Name slated for a May 12th release and his Signed To The Streets 3 mixtape on the way as well, Lil Durk now has some terribly sad news to deal with.
After losing his cousin OTF Nunu to a shooting last year, the young Chicago rapper has to lay another member of his camp to rest.
It’s being reported this morning that Durk’s manager OTF Chino was shot and killed last night, just minutes after the release of his “Faneto” freestyle.
Here's the story:
One man was killed, and at least two others were wounded in shootings across the city's South Side early Friday morning.
About 1:50 a.m., a 24-year-old man was fatally shot outside a restaurant in Avalon Park, police said.
The man was sitting in a car in the 8400 block of South Stony Island Avenue when a gunman approached on foot and fired shots into the vehicle, hitting the man repeatedly including once in his head.
A friend drove the car to nearby Advocate Trinity Hospital where the 24-year-old man was pronounced dead.
Following the shooting, police guarded the bright red Chevy Camaro that took the 24-year-old man to the hospital. The car sat parked just outside the emergency room's front entrance surrounded by police tape.
Officers also taped off the Stony Sub restaurant, 8440 S. Stony Island Ave., while detectives interviewed people inside the restaurant.
As of early Friday morning, no one was in custody for the man's murder.
The man was a passenger in a vehicle waiting in traffic in the 6700 block of South Damen Avenue when a gray sedan pulled up alongside the vehicle and someone inside opened fire, police said.
The 31-year-old man was shot in his shoulder. The vehicle's driver then fled, driving the 31-year-old to the 7800 block of South Hermitage Avenue.
Paramedic then transported the 31-year-old man to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Police did not provide the man's condition.
About 12:20 a.m. Friday, a 34-year-old man was shot in Bronzeville.
The man was driving in the 4300 block of South Wabash Avenue when someone inside a light-colored car pulled alongside the man and fired shots, police said.
The man was shot in his right leg. A family member drove the man to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center where he was treated for his wound. Police did not provide the man's condition.
