Lil Baby paid tribute to his business partner Chad Dillon following his death. Baby took to his Instagram Story, where he shared a picture of himself and Dilion and captioned the image, “Damn big buddy get ya rest.” Baby collaborated with Dillion to create the Seafood Menu Restaurant & Lounge in Atlanta, which held its grand opening in July 2023. The Boiler Seafood, another restaurant Dillion had close ties to, issued a statement to IG regarding his untimely demise, stating, “Chad’s passion for great food, warm hospitality, and creating memorable experiences will forever be a part of our establishment. His legacy lives on in every dish we serve, every smile we greet our guests with, and every moment we strive to make special. In honor of Chad, we will continue to uphold the high standards and values they instilled in us. We are grateful for your support and understanding during this difficult time. Atlanta News First reported the news, detailing that Chad Dillion had been shot and killed at 480 John Wesley Dobbs Ave. NE, close to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. The chef’s friends told the news outlet that Dilion was allegedly working at a restaurant called Dipped N Butter and stepped out to go to his car. He was then shot and killed in what police are describing as “a targeted attack.” Additionally, authorities stated that a Rolls-Royce was at the middle of the crime scene. Through Dilion’s restaurant businesses, which began with the massively successful Boiler Seafood, the man gave a percentage of his proceeds to community efforts. In 2022, Chad spoke to the ATL news outlet about giving $15,000 to ex-offenders through a 13-week program that teaches them how to hone their gifts. “Some of these guys are really good guys that made one mistake,” Dillon told Atlanta News First in 2022. “These people still have skills, they still have talent, they still have a lot of knowledge, and they’re still creatives. And we don’t want to forget about our creatives.
