Letoya Luckett Stars In Lifetime Movie ‘I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead’

Letoya Luckett is Starring in Lifetime‘s I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead, the 43-year-old revives buried drama and opens healed wounds in the preview of the intense thriller. “No I didn’t, I’m very much alive,” announces Luckett as her character, Tori, who was thought to be dead for five years. The movie is based on the novel Unmissing by bestselling author Minka Kent. Alongside Luckett, Angela “Blac Chyna” White, Sherilyn Allen, and Jamall Johnson lead in the film, which premieres on Lifetime Saturday night (Aug. 3). “Don’t be the watcher that watches for 30 seconds and be like, ‘OK, what’s next? Let me just get on IG.’ No, you have to be invested in this movie because it’s not a slow-moving movie at all,” Luckett explained“ As a matter of fact, it’s going to catch you immediately, but I feel like in order for you to really get into it, you have to put some things down, sit there and actually watch [and] engage. I think your mind is going to be blown by the end of the movie. She continued, “This was something that was out of the ordinary for me. I’ve played the well-to-do wife who has it all together. I got in there and was like, ‘Strip me down. I want to look absolutely crazy.

The official description reads as follows:

I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead centers on beautiful wife and expectant mother Lola Winters (Sherilyn Allen) who seems to have it all—the big house, a dashing husband Leo Winters (Jamall Johnson), and a thriving restaurant business. But Lola’s seemingly perfect life is interrupted when a ghost from the past Tori (LeToya Luckett) suddenly shows up at her doorstep in search of her husband Leo, after having gone missing for years and being declared dead. Tensions rise and lives are turned upside down as Tori’s unexpected return leaves everyone questioning her motives and why she hasn’t gone to the police.

I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead is produced by JPS Productions Inc. Stacy Mandelberg and Tamara T. Gregory are executive producers, and Navid Soofi also serves as producer. Troy Scott is credited as the director, with the movie script written by Gregory.
