LEGENDARY SINGER GEORGE CLINTON HOSPITALIZED!

R&B singer George Clinton has been hospitalized with an infection in one of his legs.

TMZ.com reports that Clinton checked into a hospital for a routine check up, when doctors discovered the infection in his leg.

Doctors decided to keep the 69 -year-old singer as a precaution to ensure he received proper medical treatment.

Reps for Clinton said that he is expected to make a full recovery.

Clinton's last album was 2008's release George Clinton and His Gangsters of Love, which featured RZA, Carlos Santana, Sly Stone, El Debarge and others.

George Clinton and his group Parliament/Funkadelic are one of the most sampled groups in Hip-Hop history.
