IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Lamar Odom is on a fast break to a court date.

The beleagured basketball star will be charged with one count of driving under the influence stemming from his Aug. 30 arrest.

Odom, 33, was pulled over in the early morning hours of that Friday after cops spied his white Mercedes-Benz SUV driving erratically and too slowly on Los Angeles’ 101 Freeway — not far from the Tarzana, Calif., home he shares with his reality-star wife Khloe Kardashian.

It was just the latest setback for Odom, who is reportedly battling a crack-cocaine addiction that is threatening his marriage. Kardashian, 29, has reportedly made several unsuccessful attempts to help her husband get clean.

At a minimum, Odom will have his driver's license suspended for a year — an automatic penalty after the Queens-born, 6-foot-10 forward refused to take a chemical test after his arrest. If convicted on the misdemeanor charge, he also faces up to six months in jail and $1,000 fine.

“A chemical test is what is used to test for the presence of alcohol and drugs in the system and in this case Mr. Odom refused to submit,” Sgt. Denise Joslin, spokesman for the California Highway Patrol, told The News last month.

The police report filed after his arrest described Odom as showing “objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated.”

Odom, who is a first-time offender, will be arraigned on Sept. 27, a spokesman for the L.A. City Attorney's office said.
