Kobe Bryant may have retired from basketball, but that doesn’t mean he’s given up on being a star.
The five-time NBA champ, 38, stars as himself in an animated film scheduled to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival next month, the festival announced on Tuesday.
Entitled “Dear Basketball,” the film is one of 57 shorts, divided across 10 categories, that will screen at the festival. It’s not the only film with a big name attached, either, as others will feature the talents of Bobby Cannavale, Salma Hayek, Elisabeth Moss, John Turturro, and Mae Whitman, among others.
Of the 57 shorts – 40% of which were directed by women — 36 will make their world premiere at the festival.
The 16th annual Tribeca Film Festival runs from April 19-30.
