According to gatecrasher:
Kimora Lee Simmons approves of her ex's new flame.
A source in St. Barth tells us that the feisty fashion designer and her husband, two-time Oscar nominated actor Djimon Hounsou, were hanging out with hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and his date, Australian actress Melissa George, at the BBQ that producer Lawrence Bender and businessman Amir Benesh threw on the exclusive island.
Kimora, 36, who was married to Simmons from 1998 until 2009, is vacationing on the island with Hounsou, their son Kenzo, 2, and the two daughters she had with Russell, Ming, 10, and Aoki, 9. (She and Simmons married on St. Barth.)
According to our source, she and her family arrived at the party first and "when Russell and Melissa arrived via the beach, Kimora went out to greet them with Kenzo in her arms and the three of them walked into the party together."
Our insider also says that Kimora "was very friendly with Melissa," 35, who was linked with 54-year-old Russell shortly after announcing her divorce to Chilean film director Claudio Debed.
Kimora even took photos of her husband and George —who has appeared in the former ABC-TV spy series, "Alias" and Steven Soderbergh's film "The Limey." When the Golden Globe-nominated Aussie wasn't being photographed, our source says she was sitting on Russell's lap and "kissing his hands."
Earlier in the day, Kimora Lee and her hubby were hanging out with stylist-turned-designer Rachel Zoe, and when the Bender/Benesh BBQ ended, most guests moved on to the Port of Gustavia for a Hanukkah celebration.
"Tower Heist" director Brett Ratner served as the emcee of the soiree, where guests included Ron Perelman and Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, who helped light candles on a massive menorah that port director Ernest Brin had erected there.
