Kendrick Lamar gift-rapped a special present for his fans — a surprise album that dropped Thursday night.
As the album's title, "untitled unmastered.," would suggest, little is known about the top secret project — though the "untitled" track names hint the tunes were written between 2013 and 2016.
Among the eight tracks are songs that were introduced at the Grammys last month, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January" and "Colbert Report" in 2014.
And the album also contains the ultimate celebrity cameo — Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz's 5-year-old son Egypt Dean apparently produced half of a track called, "untitled 07."
"This is the best Dad moment everrrrr!!! Congrats to my son Egypt for producing his 1st track on this amazing Kendrick Album," Swizz Beatz posted on Instagram. "He's only 5yrs old wowwwwwww."
At first listen, the stripped-down tracks continue the free jazz flow on the 7-time Grammy winner's last album, the platinum-selling album, "To Pimp a Butterfly," released last year.
The timing of the release may have something to do with a public plea tweeted by NBA superstar LeBron James on Feb. 23.
Lamar, 28, has been rocking on quite the roll after his critically lauded, but controversial performance at the Grammys, delivered a blistering medley that included "The Blacker the Berry" and "Alright," his anthems about being black in America.
