Kelly Rowland Shuts Down Skin Bleaching Rumors

Following accusations that she bleaches her skin, Kelly Rowland took to Instagram Stories on Thursday to set the record straight.

“I never answer questions like this because I think it’s so stupid,” the Grammy winner, 37, told her social media followers in a since-deleted clip.

“I am not the one to bleach my skin, nor do I want to bleach my skin, nor do I have to bleach my skin,” she asserted. “It’s not for me … So don’t go saying stupid stuff like that. You ever thought that it could be the lighting?”

Concluded the former Destiny’s Child star: “I am still chocolate, forever chocolate, proud to be chocolate.”

The speculation started after Rowland shared a few shots from a recent photoshoot on Instagram in which her complexion appeared slightly lighter than usual.
