Katy Perry says she used a simple trick to tame her famed British ladies' man Russell Brand – she denied him sex.
In the August issue of UK's Esquire, the sexy 25-year-old singer opened up about her husband-to-be as she posed topless in leather pants, her finger placed seductively in her mouth.

Though she is willing to flash some skin and shoot whipped cream from her bra, Perry revealed that she refused to have sex with Brand on the day they first met (on the set of "Get Him to the Greek").

In fact, she appears to have thrown a bottle at Brand from across the room when he propositioned her.

It "hit him smack dab on the head," she told Esquire. "Can you imagine the horrible feeling he had, when he was used to getting everything he wanted? I was like, 'You've met your match.' "

The pop songstress forced her now-fiancé, who "used to basically be a professional prostitute," to take her out on a date. A week later, the duo was on vacation in Thailand.

According to the "California Gurls" singer, Brand proposed to her in Jaipur, India, by getting down on one knee and organizing fireworks and a painted elephant. They are set to wed in October.

As for domestic life, Perry told Esquire that she and Brand are "two divas in one house," but that they are the perfect fit.

"I'm like, 'Oh my God, I am you. You are me,' she told the magazine. "I always needed someone stronger than me and I am, like, a [expletive] strong elephant of a woman. I say that hopefully in the humblest way I can."

Brand is a 35-year-old former DJ and Hollywood favorite who received praise for his comedic turn in "Get Him to the Greek." But the British lothario has spoken openly about his drug addled past and his sex addiction.

Though she was never a heroin addict herself, Perry revealed to Esquire she is no stranger to drugs. After meeting famed weed-lover Snoop, she said she was worried about smoking his stash.

'I was saying to myself, 'If that s--- still gets Snoop high, if I breathe it in I will die. I will be on a permanent balloon,"' she told the magazine. 'I was like, "Hold on to the hookah."'
