Katt Williams Arrested After Punching A Woman

Katt Williams was arrested Sunday on suspicion of battery after an altercation with a woman at the Sportsman's Lodge, a hotel in Sherman Oaks, Calif., according to TMZ.

The comedian is in custody in a Los Angeles-area jail with bail set at $20,000, according to the gossip website.

Williams, 44, apparently punched a woman who works at the hotel, and had visible injuries when police arrived on the scene.

His recent arrest marks one of many run-ins with the law.

In February, he was detained by police after punching a pool store employee in Georgia.

In March, the comedian was arrested after reportedly getting into an altercation with a 17-year-old in Gainesville, Ga.

And yet again, a few months after in April, he was in trouble with police after he allegedly threw a salt shaker at a Waffle House employee in Atlanta.

The troubled comic, whose real name is Micah Sierra Williams, faced felony robbery charges in September 2014 after he and hip hop mogul Suge Knight were accused of stealing a camera from a paparazzo.

Williams also got arrested five times over two months in 2013. Police in Seattle and Oakland, Calif., said he got in bar brawls in both cities in 2012.
