Kanye West’s Unreleased Sneakers Selling For $5K

Fans of Kanye West‘s footwear designs know that the rapper’s wares don’t come cheap.

While his Yeezy sneakers are regularly sold at huge markups online, an unreleased shoe sample from the musician’s first-ever fashion line, Pastelle, is really set to break the bank, selling online for a staggering $5,000.

As first pointed out by Hypebeast, model Gio Mitchell has decided to part ways with “a piece of fashion and music history” and sell a never-before-seen pair of size-9 sneakers the Grammy winner gifted to him during a photoshoot for the now-defunct brand.

The 2009 style, which never went into production, is made out of suede and canvas with a Velcro ankle strap and the phrase “The Past Tells Everything” printed across the sole.

“They have never been worn but have some discoloration due to aging,” the model wrote.

Many commenters have pointed out that the unreleased shoe is essentially a mix between the Nike Vandal Low sneaker and the Vans SK8-Mid, suggesting that while fans of Ye might miss out on a piece of rap history, they could save themselves roughly $4,900 by opting for those mass-produced styles instead.

The shoes are still currently for sale at hiddenppf.com.
