Kanye West Gets Threatened With Arrest If He Makes Pro-Nazi Statements At Brazil Show

Officials in São Paulo have made it clear that Kanye West will be risking arrest should he choose to perform his since-amended song “Heil Hitler” and/or make sympathetic statements about Nazism during, or surrounding, his upcoming show in the region. To be clear, the show in question isn’t believed to currently have a confirmed location, though it’s said to still be dated for Nov. 29. A previous location was lost after local officials revoked the agreement, reportedly due to Ye’s past Nazism statements, which included (but were not limited to) a Hitler-praising appearance on Alex Jones’s show in 2022. Now, additional details on the issues facing the São Paulo show have been detailed thanks to reporting from Brazilian publication Metrópoles. According to one report, police in the region have been instructed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office to have officers “ready during the show” to arrest Ye “in case he sings a song” or makes any statements sympathetic to Nazism. Show promoters would also be arrested. São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes has also spoken out, suggesting on Monday (Nov. 10) that efforts were underway to ensure that anyone who makes such statements will not be allowed to have “any kind of activity” in the region.
