The rapper released a silent film earlier this week documenting the meticulous production of his new Yeezy Season 2 fashion line, which includes oversized sweatshirts, long-sleeved camouflage T-shirts and muted-beige trenchcoats, from start to finish.
A pensive West appears sporadically amid the sketching, stitching and spools of thread to quietly survey his empire. Close-up shots show designers tweaking clothing dimensions and hands stirring vats of dye.
The video's opening frame accurately cautions viewers that "THIS DOCUMENTATION HAS NO SOUND."
"This past season we just did apparel on our own out of Calabasas with a small team traveling to the dye houses and making the patterns and just working 30 hours a day against all odds," West recently told Vanity Fair of the new line. "We didn't sleep."
The release of the film, which is available to stream via his website, coincides nicely with the impending release of his Yeezy Season 1 line with Adidas on Thursday, the shoe company tweeted.
A preview of West's last line was decidedly less silent, with the hip-hop artist debuting his new song "Wolves" (featuring Sia and rapper Vic Mensa) as models flaunted his fashions.
The rapper's Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s, which launched online in June, also nabbed him a "Shoe of the Year" nod from sneaker magazine Footwear News last week.
It's full steam ahead for the rapper-turned-fashionista.
"My toe is barely in the door, my foot is barely on the gas, I've got to press down harder. The most successful thing about the second season was just doing the second season," he told Vanity Fair.
"Every time, the most successful thing about it is doing it."
