Kanye West And Kim Kardashian Name Their Son Saint West

They went in a completely different direction.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their second child Saint West, according to the reality star's website.

Kardashian shared that her son born on Dec. 5 weighs 8 pounds, 1 ounce.

The Hollywood couple decided against using some form of a cardinal direction like they did with Saint's older sister, North West.

Despite Kardashian voicing before their second child’s birth that she was interested in naming him Easton West, she revealed her rapper hubby wasn't exactly into it.

The stars had, however, totally ruled out the name “South” months before the baby’s birth.

“It's definitely not South,” Kardashian told Ellen DeGeneres in September. “Every time someone says 'South' I just want to roll my eyes. It's not a good direction.”

Kardashian and West came up with a name for their second child much quicker than they did for their first, as they went nearly one week after North was born before settling on her name.

Saint was born three weeks ahead of his Christmas due date, with Kardashian sharing the news on her website shortly after his birth. North, meanwhile, came five weeks early in June 2013.

The 35-year-old Kardashian underwent a painful external cephalic version procedure one weekend before giving birth in order to turn her breech baby into the safer, head-down position. In doing so, she managed to avoid the need for a C-section.

“They don’t give you any pain medication, and let me tell you: This was soooooo painful,” she wrote on her website. “Probably more painful than childbirth. BUT it worked!”

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star then revealed last Wednesday that the new baby was due “any day now.”

This many not be the last time Kardashian and her rapper husband have to come up with a baby name. In a recent episode of her show, Kardashian told her mother Kris Jenner that a third child was already on her mind.

"I'm just thinking about number three," she said. "Like if I have three, then that's when I think your body really starts to slip."
