Justin Bieber’s Coachella headlining sets now in the rearview, we’re taking a look at the custom Dune sofas the SWAG artist had commissioned for his SKYLRK backstage compound at the annual Indio festival. The compound, described in press notes as a “private sanctuary” for Bieber and friends, boasted a one-of-a-kind “scenography” centered around custom takes on the Pierre Paulin-designed Dune sofa inspired by colorways associated with the two-time Grammy winner’s SKYLRK brand. Paulin, Paulin, Paulin—a family endeavor dedicated to keeping the late Pierre Paulin’s work at the forefront of design—installed the custom sofas. Notably, the original Dune design was not produced while Pierre was alive due to technological limitations.
