Bieber Fever arrived in Harlem Monday on the eve of the singer’s new album release, and not even a power outage could dampen spirits.
The pop heartthrob treated his fans to an exclusive show at the world-famous Apollo Theater on W. 125th St. before his new album “Believe” hits stores and iTunes Tuesday.
He performed on stage alongside rapper Ludacris and had to end the concert with only the crowd for accompaniment when the power for his equipment failed.
“Me and @ludacris blew up the power at the @ApolloTheater . Haha. Epic. #beastmode,” he Tweeted to his more than 23 million followers.
“A night none of us will ever forget!! That is how u end an#AllAroundTheWorld run!!! With no power for the last song...my fans sang it 4 me!”
Fans who purchased his new fragrance “Girlfriend” at Macy’s in Herald Square were handed tickets to the Canadian pop superstar’s first uptown show.
Lines started forming outside the store at 6 a.m. Sunday, even though the tickets were not up for grabs until 7 a.m. Monday.
By 2 p.m., the first 500 customers received tickets for the gig, an official said.
“We heard we were staying in the same hotel as him but we missed him,” said 13-year-old Miranda Poedtke who is on vacation with her family from Chicago. “Then I woke up this morning and went on Twitter ... and saw the message about the concert. I ran around my room screaming and woke up my brother. We came [to Macy's] immediately.”
Poedtke received two tickets with a purchase of the $183 fragrance and was accompanied to the show by her father, Mike , who was a little less enthusiastic than his teenage daughter, hoping the show would be his “first and last.”
Bieber’s manager also handed out 190 extra tickets to some fans who arrived at the Apollo without tickets.
“He’s super talented and so down-to-earth because he does things like giving out free tickets to his fans!” said Lauren Potter, 20, from Hell’s Kitchen, the last person in line to receive an extra pass into the venue. “It's amazing.”
“What I saw tonight! My fans! My Beliebers! They stepped up for me! I love u! I will never forget 2nite! That was the way a show should end,” Beiber also tweeted at the end of the concert.
