Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski joined every Senate Democrat in voting to confirm. During her speech on the South Lawn, she said, "It took just one generation to go from segregation to the Supreme Court of the United States. She was certainly put through the wringer while being questioned on Capitol Hill during her confirmation hearing, From questions like "On a scale of 1 to 10, how faithful would you say you are?" she kept her head held high as the days went on.
