Juice WRLD’s music has shot up the charts in the wake of the 21-year-old’s untimely death.
Like many deceased artists before him, interest in the rapper’s catalogue has grown exponentially since his passing this Sunday after suffering a seizure at Chicago’s Midway International Airport. He now sits atop several music charts, including the “Big 3” streamers — Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
Juice’s 2018 single “Legends,” has risen 84,954% to reach No. 1 in just two days on Amazon’s Movers and Shakers list, TMZ reports. Both the explicit and clean versions of the Chicago rapper’s biggest hit “Lucid Dreams” currently sit in the number two and three slots. Albums “Death Race For Love” and “Goodbye & Good Riddance” also claim top spots on Amazon’s CDs and Vinyl list.
The deceased star has also replaced several big names — including The Weeknd, DaBaby, Trippie Redd and Roddy Ricch — on the Apple Music chart, with four of his songs charting in the top 10. Juice holds eight slots total within the top 100. He also holds nine of the ten spots on Spotify’s year-end Wrapped list.
A recent report claims the star may have triggered his own death when he downed a bunch of pills as law enforcement searched his private jet. Several stars have expressed their grief over the loss of the young artist.
