Judge Mathis is not holding back when it comes to his take on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ criminal trial. The TV judge, known for his no-nonsense approach, weighed in on the federal case currently unfolding against the music mogul. As we previously reported, Diddy is facing serious allegations involving sex trafficking, racketeering, and abuse of power. Federal prosecutors believe the Bad Boy founder used his influence, wealth, and empire to control, exploit, and silence his alleged victims the trial kicked off just two weeks ago but is already jam-packed with explosive testimonies. From Cassie Ventura to former employees and exotic dancers, witnesses have painted a disturbing picture of what they say went down behind closed doors—what many refer to as Diddy’s infamous “freak-offs.” But even with all that testimony, not everybody is convinced it meets the federal thresh old for sex trafficking or racketeering. That’s where Judge Mathis comes in.“If the trial ended today, I would give Diddy 5-10 years in STATE PRISON. Only issue he IS NOT being charged with a STATE CRIME,” Mathis stated bluntly. At the center of the trial are federal charges that could land Diddy behind bars for decades. Prosecutors say he allegedly coerced people into sexual acts through violence, drugs, and manipulation—often flying them out or transporting them to participate in acts they didn’t fully agree to. A piece of evidence is a 2016 hotel surveillance video showing Diddy physically assaulting Cassie. Although Combs has since apologized, his legal team tried—unsuccessfully—to get the video tossed from the courtroom. The video isn’t just a moment of violence caught on tape. It sets the tone for the prosecution’s argument that Diddy has a long history of abusive control. The court rejected Diddy’s attempt to keep that evidence out, which may play a crucial role in the trial’s outcome.
