John Legend Says There's A Racism Problem In U.S. After CMA Drama

John Legend has no beef with the Country Music Association — but he also isn't hiding the fact that there's a racism problem in America.

After the CMA website erased all mention of Beyoncé's performance with the Dixie Chicks during the awards ceremony, countless people raised concerns of racism.

"Obviously the CMAs weren't being racist by including Beyoncé — the people that were being mad about her were being racist," Legend told TMZ on Friday at Los Angeles International Airport.

The CMA website reportedly scrubbed any mention of the ladies after receiving extremely negative and racist comments.

"There's a problem with racism in America I'm not blaming country music for that," Legend added.

"I know a lot of country music writers and artists and i don't think it's there issue, I think it's America's issue."

Legend, who is outspoken about his distaste for Donald Trump, also threw a jab at the presidential nominee during the brief exchange at LAX.

"America has a problem with racism that's why we have a racist candidate with 45% of the vote — that's America," the "All of Me" singer added.

The CMAs released a statement on Friday, denying that mentions of the Wednesday performance were removed.

"CMA has not erased any mentions of Beyoncé's performance on the CMA Awards," the statement read. "In advance of the broadcast, CMA removed a five-second promotional clip from ABC.com and CMA's Facebook page."
