John Legend Debuts New Single ‘Love Me Now’

John Legend welcomed fans directly into his living room to debut his new single.

The singer premiered “Love Me Now” on Facebook Live with an emotional performance on his home piano — with wife Chrissy Teigen in the next room.

Legend’s new album, “Darkness & Light,” will feature artists including Chance the Rapper, Miguel, Blake Mills and Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard.

After his performance, the 37-year-old Grammy winner took questions from fans, including how he writes his lyrics.

“I think as you grow and you’re writing honestly and telling your truth, then whatever new experiences you have will affect how you write,” Legend said. “So I’m definitely affected by being a dad and you’ll hear that on the new album.”

Legend and Teigen welcomed daughter Luna in April, and he said he wrote a song on his new album, “Right By You,” for his new baby.

The “All of Me” singer also talked about how he balances work and family.

“If you’re working and a husband and a father, you just have to figure it out, and you have to know that your first priority is your family and the people you love,” he said. “You also have to work, you also have to pay the bills, you have to do other things you love as well. So you just figure it out.”
