John Legend And Chrissy Teigen Had A Baby Girl

Chrissy Teigen is officially one hot mama.

The world-famous supermodel has given birth to her and husband John Legend's first child, she announced on Instagram on Sunday.

"She's here!" Teigen wrote. "Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy."

Legend shared the exciting news a few moments later, writing on Twitter, "Our new love is here!"

"We couldn't be happier!" he added.

The new bundle of joy was born on Thursday weighing 6 pounds, 11 ounces.

Teigen has regularly chronicled her journey to motherhood throughout the past year, first revealing on her "FABLife" talk show in September that she and the "All of You" singer had been struggling to get pregnant for years.

A month later, however, the 30-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model announced she was expecting.

"It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "We're so excited that it's finally happening."

Then in February, Teigen revealed she undergone in vitro fertilization treatments in 2015 at the same time she was posing for Sports Illustrated's 2016 swimsuit issue.

She also explained that she specifically chose to have a daughter during the IVF process.

"Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo," she told People magazine, adding that she thinks Legend will be the "best father to a little girl."

"I think he deserves a little girl," she added. "I think he deserves that bond."

The two stars had a pair of baby showers in advance of their daughter's birth, including one thrown by friend and reality star Kim Kardashian.

The happy couple likely has no plans to stop having kids now, either, as Teigen explained to Self magazine last month that she dreams of having a big family.

"I think I'll probably be pregnant all through my 30s," she said. "I've always pictured everyone around the table for the holidays and together once a week. It'll be heartbreaking if it doesn't end up happening, but hopefully it will. We've got some embryos on hold."
