IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

J.LO RELEASES A SONG AS LOLA BUT SHE SOUNDS THE SAME!

Has Jennifer Lopez - aka J. Lo - taken on yet another identity?
It sure sounds that way judging by a new single, credited to an artist named "Lola." The singer sounds suspiciously like the woman who heavy-breathed through hits like "If You Had My Love" and "Jenny From the Block."

The song, titled "Fresh out the Oven," turned up on the Web this morning with credit given only to Lola. Produced by the Neptunes, the track has a lustful dance beat and features not just the singer's baby's breath vocals, but rhymes from the currently hot Latin rapper PitBull.

Last month, Pitbull gave an interview to MTV in which he talked about collaborating with Lopez. "Definitely something very, very sexy," Pit said of the track. "Produced by Pharrell, look out for it. It's kind of like Eyes Wide Shut."

Pit also told the network that a video for the song had already been shot.

A Web site and Twitter account were launched today teasing the character with the tagline "Who Is Lola?" The site features a clip of a woman, who can't fully be seen, dancing.

A source at Lopez's record company, Epic, admitted the obvious - that J.Lo and Lola are one and the same. "It's a fun track she did for the streets," said the source. "It's not the first single."

Presumably the source was referring to the first single from the new album she's rumored to be working on.

Her last disc, 2007's "Brave," bombed on the charts. Then again, that one she cut under her own name.
