Music producer Jermaine Dupri has dropped $18,000 to settle his back-tax debt.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, The Georgia Department of Revenue has released a lien filed against Dupri. The release means the producer paid the debt in full and they are no longer coming after him.
Back in August, Dupri was hit with the state tax lien accusing him of owing $17,714.33 on a 2017 bill.
The original debt was only $12,409 but swelled with interest ($1,320.32), penalties ($1,453.21) and collection costs ($2,481.80).
A separate lien was filed against him by the Fayette County Tax Department. They accuse him of owing property taxes. The total amount owed originally was $4,630 but grew with interest. The document says Dupri owes a total of $5,411.76.
