The American Music Awards have revealed the first round of performers set to take the stage during its 50th Anniversary Special A highlight in the bill is Jennifer Hudson, who will pay tribute to Whitney Houston during the celebratory event. The EGOT winner has previously performed in honor of Whitney Houston in 2010 at the BET Honors with The Voice applauding from the audience, and again in 2012 at the 54th Grammy Awards, the day after her tragic death. In both instances, Hudson performed, “I Will Always Love You. Whitney Houston’s legacy includes 22 AMA awards, making her one of the top AMA winners of all time. Additional performers announced for the televised special include Mariah Carey, Chaka Khan, RAYE, Gladys Knight, Green Day, Kane Brown, and more.
