A bad case of food poisoning briefly landed slimmed-down singing sensation Jennifer Hudson in a New York hospital early Friday.
The 29-year-old Oscar-winner was taken to the emergency room after her performance on "Good Morning America," her publicist told the Daily News.
"Jennifer Hudson went to the hospital due to severe abdominal pains," her publicist added. "She was treated for food poisoning and released."
Hudson won the Academy Award for her part in "Dreamgirls." She was promoting her latest album, "I Remember Me," and was forced to cancel a later appearance on CBS' "The Early Show," according to EOnline.com.
She lost about 80 pounds since becoming a Weight Watchers spokeswoman, and she plans to write a memoir about shedding the weight.
