Jennifer Hudson Buys Her Assistant A House For Christmas

Jennifer Hudson got her assistant seriously into the holiday spirit after she surprised him with a house for Christmas.

The 32-year-old singer posted a video of her employee Walter Williams' reaction when he learned the news.

When Williams glances at the news in a folder of papers he's holding, he begins screaming and jumping up and down.

Williams then pounces on Hudson with a big hug. "What?" he exclaims.

Williams and Hudson have been longtime friends, meeting as classmates at Yale Elementary School in Chicago.

"Walter and I have been friends since sixth grade," Hudson told the Advocate, answering a question about her personal connections to the LGBT community in a 2011 interview. "He's by far my closest friend and my closest gay friend ever."
