Jennifer Hudson And Common Kiss And Talk Marriage On Her Talk Show

Jennifer Hudson and Common had the cutest moment on a recent episode of her self-titled daytime talk show. He was confronted by her about a marriage remark he made in a prior interview in July. At that time, Common told The Breakfast Club that if he was going to tie the knot with anyone, it would be his “dream girl,” Jennifer. “I mean, if I’m gonna get married it’s to her. That’s as simple as that,” he said. Hudson referred to that interview on her show, saying, “I heard you’ve been even out there talking about marriage. What’s that about?” In response, “The Light” wordsmith said, “I was asked about marriage and I just answered honestly. You told me a quote that your mother said, ‘A man knows what he wants.’ And I was saying my true feelings… ‘Listen, Jennifer is the person. If I should be married, it will be to Jennifer Kate Hudson. Hudson agreed that her late mother, Darnell Donerson, would’ve loved him. “My mother was right. I think if she had met you, [she’d say] ‘I don’t know about the rest of them, but that Common is alright with me,’” she expressed. “That’s what she would say. And I would agree. I think it’s a beautiful thing. I think you are a deserving man and, you know, I support that idea. I think it’s a beautiful idea. I will say that. Alluding that there isn’t a set timeframe for a wedding, she added, “Now, hold on, in due time. You know, if it ever gets to that place. The pair confirmed their romance back in January on The Jennifer Hudson Show following looming rumors of dating. Without naming anyone, Common shared at the time, “I’m in a relationship that is with one of the most beautiful people I’ve met in life. She’s smart. She loves God. She has something real down-to-earth about her. She’s talented, but I set my standard kind of high because she had to have a EGOT. She had to win an Oscar on her first movie… she had to get her own talk show.” He added, “This relationship is a happy place for me. It’s like for me, it’s one of those things where I found where seeing her happy actually makes me really happy. I’m very grateful. I thank God each and every day.
