IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Jeezy recently walked out of court a winner in a three-year-long court battle with his former manager Demetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee, who claims he is owed money for helping build Da Snowman. The Atlanta trap rap God appeared in court on Friday (Oct. 30) for the finale of the lawsuit where he was acquitted of any wrongdoing by a jury, according to TMZ.

Ellerbee initially brought the lawsuit in Fulton County Superior Court in 2012, claiming that he helped Young form his Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE) group and that he’s “entitled to half of all royalties, advances and distributions.” Ellerbee claims that Jeezy, real name Jay Jenkins, had “intentionally misappropriated, diverted and/or converted funds” meant for CTE. In the end, a jury of their peers thought otherwise.

Jeezy is a couple weeks away from putting out his eighth studio album Church In The Streets which has been spearheaded by the singles “God,” “Church In The Streets,” “Gold Bottles” and “Sweet Life.” In promotion of the album, the ATL MC will be hitting the road on his Church In The Streets Concert Series. The small tour will hit up six major cities in North America starting a day before the LP’s release.
