Jay Z Sued For $10M Using Roc Nation Logo

Jay Z‘s claim to the Roc Nation logo has always seemed unimpeachable, but it’s looking like that might not actually be the case. Sources at TMZ claim one company is actually suing Hov. for putting his company’s logo on MLB merchandise.

According to the celebrity gossip site, Iconix Brand Group says they bought the Roc Nation logo from Jay for $204 million a while back, and now they’re suing he, Roc Nation, New Era, LIDS and the San Francisco Giants at least $10 million each for using the logo without their permission.

We can’t quite verify whether Iconix Brand Group’s claim is true, but if it is, they could put a dent in Hova’s mansion-copping budget. Recently, it was speculated that Hov and his wife Beyoncé were seriously looking into increasing their mansion budget from their already enormous $80 million total.

While being sued for $10 million would be something of a sizable blow to just about anyone’s bank account, Jay is always making money—and that’s something he’d done a lot of since he was in recording songs for Reasonable Doubt.

Today (May 1), it was announced that he and his former protege J. Cole will be headlining this year’s Made in America Festival.
