Jay-Z Signs Jets QB Geno Smith To Roc Nation Sports

Haters really gon be mad off his next deal. Jay-Z has a new acquisition to his growing roster at Roc Nation Sports, this time it’s Geno Smith of the New York Jets, who is currently competing to secure the first string quarterback position over Mark Sanchez.
Geno Smith was drafted by the Jets in the second round and no. 39 overall. Here’s what he had to say about joining Hov’s stable at press time:
“I think it’s just [Jay-Z's] agency,” Smith said of signing with the house of Hov. “When you talk about being in New York from a standpoint of what they can do in the city, the connections that they have, I think it’s a good move. My mother and my family is comfortable with it, I’m comfortable with it. I’m just going to move on from there, not let it be a big deal, remain humble and keep focusing on football.”

Smith will be on the roster along side Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano and former Notre Dame star Skylar Diggins, drafted No. 3 overall by the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock.

”It’s not that important to me, honestly,” Smith said. ”The only thing that’s important to me is the image that’s perceived around this locker room, the guy I am to my teammates, to my coaches and the work I put in on the football field. I’m all about football.
