Jay Z’s First Music Video From Magna Carta Holy Grail “Picasso Baby”

One of the “6 pieces of art” Jay promised us has arrived.

In his Twitter Q&A last month, Jay Z promised us “six pieces of art” in response to a fan’s inquiry into the music video quota for his pre-platinum 12th solo album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. As Jay shoots the video for “Holy Grail” with Justin Timberlake, which he admitted via phone interview with Big Boy on Power 106 this morning, HBO just debuted the video for the Timbaland-produced “Picasso Baby”. Shot at PACE Art Gallery in New York City, the visual was billed as a performance art-inspired piece, and features direction from Mark Romanek, who also directed Robin Williams’ classic 2002 film, One Hour Photo. Cameos include Rosie Perez, and Roc Nation artist Wale.
