Rapper Jay-Z has partnered with Microsoft and their decision engine Bing, to produce and promote a new game centered around the rapper's upcoming book, Decoded.
The multi-platform search experience is an interactive game that will helped "decode" Jay-Z's life and lyrics, while allowing fans to view the locations that inspired the rap star.
Every single page of the book will be released to the public before it lands in stores, as apart of a worldwide advertising campaign, that will see pages of the books placed on objects never before used as advertising.
"From pools and pool tables to bronze plaques and high-fashion clothing racks, a variety of unexpected surfaces will become the canvas for Jay-Z’s art," read a press release issued by Bing.
Online, fans will be challenged to search Bing to find pages from the book, which will then be compiled as a community online, before the book is released.
Ads for Decoded have been placed on 600 unique traditional, nontraditional and digital advertising placements in 15 cities around the world.
Additionally, every participant will be entered into a contest for a grand prize that will send one fan to see Jay-Z and Coldplay at their highly anticipated Las Vegas concert on New Year's Eve.
The promotion started today (October 18th) at

Decoded, which lands in stores November 16th, is being released by Spiegel & Grau, an imprint of Random House Publishing Group.
