The rapper and businessman reportedly just launched his own venture capital fund with partner Jay Brown, who is president of Jay Z's Roc Nation.
The new move will be in partnership with Sherpa Capital, which has invested in Uber, Airbnb and Slack, according to Axios.
The focus will be investing in start-ups and technology companies, the site reported.
Jay Z — whose real name is Shawn Carter — is no stranger to successful business endeavors.
He has invested in companies like Uber and Tidal and his entertainment company, Roc Nation, invested in ventures like BlackJet and audio company Devialet, Cruchbase reported.
Some extra income will prove useful for the "Empire State of Mind" rapper as his wife Beyoncé just announced they are expecting twins.
