Jay-Z and Will Smith are staking out their territory — in the camping industry.
The rap royals both invested in Hipcamp, an app that bills itself as “the Airbnb of camping.” (It basically lets people with outdoor space rent it out to campers.)
The company took in $25 million in its latest round of fund-raising — so interest in the business is apparently … in tents. Hova is investing through his Marcy Venture Partners, and Smith’s going through his Dreamers VC fund.
