Forget the Dewey decimal system - emblems of cool like Jay-Z and Keith Richards are the new headliners at the New York Public Library.
The Brooklyn-born rapper will talk about his new book, "Decoded," at the library on Monday, capping off a star-studded season of special guests at the traditionally quiet venue.
"We're doing the new and the unexpected," said Elaine Charnov, who oversees education, programs and exhibitions at the library.
The Walkmen, Elvis Costello, Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, Steve Martin and Ethan Hawke all have scored huge crowds at the library this season.
Richards, the Rolling Stones guitarist and memoirist, drew the biggest crowd, she said, but Monday's gig could top it.
"Jay-Z is superpopular," she said. "There's a lot of energy there."
