IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Oscar winner Jamie Foxx was a real-life action hero Monday night — rescuing a driver from a burning vehicle.

Foxx, 48, wasted no time when he heard a violent wreck outside his gate in the secret celebrity enclave of Hidden Valley northwest of Los Angeles, a source confirmed to the Daily News.

The actor ran to the scene and saw the driver in distress inside the flipped over and smoking truck.

Cops said driver Brett Kyle, 32, was in a 2007 Toyota Tacoma when he traveled through a drainage ditch, struck a pipe encased in concrete and rolled multiple times.

“The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side and became engulfed in flames,” an incident report obtained by The News said.

Police did not identify Foxx by name but said two witnesses ran to the scene to help.

One of the witnesses retrieved a rescue tool from his vehicle, allowing both witnesses to break the window, cut the seat belt and extricate the driver, the report from the California Highway Patrol said.

Foxx worried the twisted wreckage might explode and made sure the driver was dragged about 30 feet away from the accident, according to TMZ.com, which first reported the actor’s brave deed.

Ventura County Fire arrived a short time later and provided medical care, cops said.

Kyle was transported to a local hospital and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, cops said.

“Jamie didn’t hesitate. He jumped out and ran to the car,” an unidentified source close to Foxx told ABC News.

The Oscar-winning “Ray” actor currently is the subject of intense speculation that he’s in a serious dating relationship with actress Katie Holmes.

Holmes, 37, is the ex-wife of Foxx’s “Collateral” co-star Tom Cruise.
