Jamie Foxx may be bringing his singing chops back to the silver screen in the upcoming "Annie" remake.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Django Unchained" star, 45, is in negotiations with Sony to play Benjamin Stacks, a version of the millionaire character Daddy Warbucks.
Sony reportedly sent an offer Foxx's way, and he's currently mulling it over.
If he signs on, Foxx will star with "Beasts of the Southern Wild" actress Quvenzhane Wallis, 9, as the lovable orphan Annie.
Jay-Z and Will Smith will produce the film, which is slated for a 2014 release. Smith's daughter Willow was originally set for the starring role, but decided to take some time off from acting and singing.
Foxx has plenty of projects in the hopper this year. He was spotted in Times Square in full make-up for his part as villain Electro in the upcoming "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel.
