Jenny is heading to another block, and this one is in Miami.
Jennifer Lopez’s hubby, Marc Anthony, inked a deal yesterday with the Miami Dolphins, making him a partial owner of the NFL team under real estate guru Stephen Ross. Although Anthony and La Lopez will remain residents of New York, they’ll be spending a lot more time in the Sunshine State.
“I could quite possibly be staring at the first day of the rest of my life,” the Grammy-winning crooner said during a news conference. “That’s quite exciting at this stage of the game. I’m a little nervous. I’d rather sing — that’s much easier to me. [But this is] a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Anthony isn’t the only celebrity to invested in his favorite pastime: Singers Jimmy Buffett and Gloria Estefan also have stakes in the Dolphins, while Jay-Z owns a portion of the New Jersey Nets, Bill Murray has a share of baseball’s St. Paul Saints, and rapper Nelly has a stake in the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats.
