Iggy Azalea Reveals The Name Of Her Baby Boy

Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti gave their newborn a name that rocks.

On Tuesday, the 30-year-old “Black Widow” rapper posted a recording to her Instagram account overlaid with the text graphic, “Amethyst & Onyx.”

In the audio, the new mother can be heard saying asking Onyx, “Baby boy, are you going to say something to me?”

The name choice is significant given Iggy’s real name — Amethyst Amelia Kelly — which is also a semi-precious gemstone.

Onyx, a healing crystal, is said to be a powerful protection stone, supposedly absorbing and transforming negative energy while aiding in the development of emotional and physical strength, according to healingcrystals.com.

Iggy and Playboi, 23, announced they welcomed their first child together in June after keeping her pregnancy a secret.

“I want to keep his life private,” she said at the time, adding, “but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret & I love him beyond words.”

The pair began dating in 2018, and she eventually moved in with him. They are also rumored to be engaged but neither has confirmed the claim.
