Kanye West, the king of hype, has overhyped us once again.

The hip-hop artist has designed a line of high-priced sneakers for Louis Vuitton and has been blabbing about the shoes for over a year now. But now those waiting for his expensive sneaks will have to wait even longer. Despite Kanye’s proclamations of greatness, the luxury footwear has yet to hit stores.

The shoe line's release was initially slated for this past spring - shortly after West's heavy promotion at Paris Fashion Week in January - but they're now rumored to launch at the end of the year, according to New York Magazine. Racked.com reports the shoes will cost around $700 and up.

But the delay has left some in the fashion world wondering if the sneakers will ever make a public debut.
