HALF OF MEN SAID THEY WOULD FORGIVE GIRL-ON-GIRL CHEATING!

It turns out that men don't really mind when women cheat – as long as it's with another woman.

According to a recent study on cheating, jealousy and relationships, half of men would find it in their heart to forgive their partner, if her tryst was of the Sapphic variety.

Researchers asked 718 college students at the University of Texas at Austin to imagine being in a long-term relationship and what their reactions would be to several different cheating scenarios.

Fifty percent of the males surveyed said that a girl-on-girl affair would not be a relationship-ender.

Why the open-mindedness? Ego and pride, say researchers.

And the chance for a threesome.

Men, study authors wrote in the journal Personality and Individual Differences, felt more threatened by a rival male but saw a female partner's homosexual affair as "an opportunity to mate with more than one woman simultaneously, satisfying men's greater desire for more partners."

Women, however, were not as ready to offer the olive branch for same-sex cheating.

Only 22% said they could forgive betrayal with another man.
