Gun Threat Interrupts 'Surviving R. Kelly' Private Screening

R. Kelly’s accusers are determined to expose the singer’s alleged abuse even after anonymous gun threats this week shut down a New York screening of Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly,” the bombshell docu-series on their stories.

Kelly’s ex, Kitti Jones, who appears in the Lifetime project as one of 50 interviews, told “Page Six TV” that Kelly physically abused and starved her on top of forcing “sex on demand” before she escaped their relationship.

“I would be awakened in the middle of the night for a threesome. I would be awakened in the middle of the night with him standing over me, naked, asking for oral. You had to give sex on demand, like, there was nothing I could do at that point,” she said.

Jones, a former radio personality, dated Kelly for two years before she fled in 2013. Jones also said she was forced to call him “daddy” and to stand at attention when he entered a room.

Social media led to her escape. “After two months of not having a phone, I snuck on a computer and reactivated my Facebook because he didn’t allow us to have social media,” she claimed. “I reached out to one of my best friends at the time and she FedExed me another cellphone that was activated . . . I began communicating with family again and started planning my escape.” She said, “I went into hiding for three years, until I found out he was still doing this to other people, and that’s what prompted me to come forward.”

Jones was one of the accusers at the screening, which was shut down amid safety concerns. Several sources told us they believe Kelly’s cohorts were behind anonymous gun threats that forced the NeueHouse venue to be evacuated.

“I don’t have proof of that, but it felt like a reminder, like, ‘I’m sending a message,’ ” Jones said. “It has certainly shaken us up, but it brought us together. . . . We all have one thing in common, and we have the same abuser and we won’t be backing down.”

Kelly has been accused of preying on teen girls and holding women hostage for decades.
