A Grammy-winning music producer known professionally as Detail, who has produced hits for Beyoncé and Lil Wayne, is facing a litany of sexual assault and felony assault charges, authorities said.
The 41-year-old producer, whose real name is Noel Christopher Fisher, was arrested Wednesday on 15 counts of sexual assault and five counts of felony assault for alleged attacks between 2010 and 2018, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced.
Detectives from the agency’s Special Victims Bureau submitted the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in January, department officials said.
Fisher, who won a Grammy in 2015 for co-writing Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s smash hit “Drunk in Love,” was charged on July 31. A felony arrest warrant with a bail of $6,290,000 was issued for his arrest, authorities said.
Additional details on the accusations were not provided Wednesday, but investigators believe there may be more victims “based on the nature of the allegations” lodged against Fisher, who has also produced hit songs for Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj.
Fisher’s attorney, Irwin Mark Bledstein, said late Wednesday he had not spoken with his client hours after he was taken into custody.
“I am quite certain he will enter a not guilty plea and contest to the fullest all of these allegations,” Bledstein said in an email to the Associated Press.
A model and aspiring singer who alleged in a lawsuit last year that Fisher raped and abused her was awarded $15 million by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge, the Associated Press reported in September.
Fisher has also been accused in separate lawsuits of being sexually aggressive toward two former assistants, including one who claims she was forcefully held against her will as the producer masturbated and demanded she pose for nude videos and photos.
Fisher has denied the allegations in the two suits, which were headed toward default judgments against him before he and his attorneys filed documents to try to revive and fight them, the Associated Press reported.
