No joke – Sacha Baron Cohen is officially a married man.
The "Borat" star wed his longtime girlfriend, Australian actress Isla Fisher, Women's Day reports.
Baron Cohen, 38, and Fisher, 34, who have been engaged since 2004, reportedly tied the knot last Monday in front of a few close relatives in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Paris.
"We did it – we're married!" Fisher reportedly told friends in an e-mail. "It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much.
"I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss – just us!"
The couple was recently photographed wearing matching black berets while strolling around Place Vendome in Paris.
Though the low-key couple has kept relatively quiet about their relationship, Fisher couldn't help but gush to a British newspaper about her future husband in 2005.
"Sacha makes me laugh more than anyone, which is why I'm marrying him," the "Confessions of a Shopaholic" actress said.
Though she admitted that she finds weddings "really boring," the actress said her own nuptials would be special.
"They give speeches, your aunt kisses you on the cheek, and you're at a boring table. But it's different when it's your own."
After three years of studying, Fisher converted to Baron Cohen's faith of Judaism in early 2007. They welcomed a daughter, Olive, later that year in October.
