Frank Ocean’s Delayed Album ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ Finally Gets A Release Date

Boys — and girls — won't have to cry this Friday over Frank Ocean music.

The singer's sophomore album is finally set to be released Friday through an exclusive deal with Apple Music, a source with "knowledge of the release" told the New York Times Monday.

"Boys Don't Cry" will be available for two weeks through Apple and then become more widely available, according to the Times.

A "major" music video and a printed publication to follow the music will also be sold at Apple stores.

It's been a long wait for Ocean fans who have been clamoring for a new album since the 28-year-old crooner dropped his first album, "Channel Orange" in 2012 — which fetched a whopping six Grammy awards.

The "Thinkin Bout You" hit maker has long teased a follow-up and even seemed to hint the highly anticipated record would be out this past month.

Last month, the R&B star shared an image of a piece of paper to Instagram that read "Due Date" and included the words "July 2016." Ocean hit a harsh note with loyal followers who were outraged when July came and went without any new music.

Earlier in the day, Ocean angered even more fans when he cryptically led fans to a mysterious live stream video on his website but didn't mention any drop date for his music. The stream did feature an Apple Music logo.

Even as reports swirl that the wait will finally be over this week, some fans still remain incredulous.

"Frank Ocean new album this Friday but not getting my hopes up yet because that man has broken my heart one too many times before," one fan tweeted.

"I'll believe frank ocean's album dropping Friday as much as i believed the world was ending last week ?? We shall see," another wrote.

Ocean has mainly retreated from music since his massively successful debut four years ago.

The musical recluse made a rare appearance in collaboration with Kanye West this year on "Wolves." He also worked with British artist James Blake on two tracks: "My Willing Heart" and "Always."

An LP from the California native was expected last summer but never came to fruition.
