However, in the event any of his contemporaries believed sales of his debut LP ‘Channel Orange’ would simmer as it reached its first birthday, the star’s fans have gone a long way to prove their support for him goes far beyond they could have imagined.
Marking the greatest sales leap this week, ‘Orange’ enjoyed saw a 120% rise in its sales following his appearance at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, carving its way back into the Top 50 in the space of four days.
Pushing it 10,753 units closer to Platinum status, its epic sales boost makes him the only act to perform on the night to enjoy a rise this remarkable with Rihanna’s ‘Unapologetic’ soaring by 26% and Adele’s ‘21′ rising by ten percent more.
