Foxy Brown has fired back in her fashion feud with designer LaQuan Smith after Brown allegedly refused to perform at Smith’s Fashion Week bash, then kept the fee anyway.
After a week of silence on the matter, Brown has now denied the wild incident, calling it a Fashion Week fable and saying her team plans to “meticulously prepare for fierce litigation.”
Smith hasn’t commented, but a source said, “They’re letting the courts handle it.”
Brooklyn rapper Brown was meant to play Smith’s VIP New York Fashion Week party, but allegedly showed up late, stumbled around, refused to perform, then kept the check. After the incident, it was reported that Brown’s PR rep quit, and the fashion party’s organizers threatened to sue.
But on Thursday, in a series of blistering Instagram posts, Brown fumed over Smith’s treatment of her. One caption reads, “I’m appalled even addressing this fictitious, ‘FASHION WEEK FAIRYTALE’ you’ve concocted to the media!”
She added, “As our upper echelon, BLACK SUPER HERO OF FASHION, I’m embarrassed for YOU” and alleged that the whole sordid situation was “a scandalous attempt to bring discord into MY INCREDIBLE COMEBACK!”
Brown — whom “Page Six TV” reported had a wardrobe malfunction at the event when she was given two high-heel boots meant for the same foot — alleged in Instagram posts that she was left waiting outside the party for two hours in a truck “for the correct side boot to arrive.”
At that point: “Not only did I arrive . . . on time, MIC in hand, but arrived at the after party as well, prepared to rock! I’ve allowed you to bask & twirl in this fraudulent press, purposely silenced, as we meticulously prepare for FIERCE LITIGATION.”
She added, “We were handed a handwritten, undated, check that had been CANCELLED!”
