FORMER CLIPSE MANAGER ANTHONY GONZALEZ GETS 32 YEARS FOR DRUG CONSPIRACY!

Former Clipse manager Anthony ‘Geezy” Gonzalez has been sentenced to 32 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to leading a $20 million dollar drug conspiracy.
Gonzalez was accused of completing numerous kingpin transactions, such as purchasing 625 pounds of marijuana for $540,000, and 10 kilos of cocaine for $200,000 in 2007.

Because of his previously light criminal record, community support, and cooperation with the federal government, Gonzalez received the minimum sentence allowed under federal guidelines.

The prosecutor’s 82-page indictment stated that Gonzalez ran a drug empire that moved a half-ton of cocaine and over a ton of marijuana through Hampton Roads, Virginia since 2003. The former nightclub owner is alleged to have received his drugs from Panama, Florida, California, and Arizona.

The federal documents detail that Gonzalez laundered money through several front business, one named as the Clipse booking agency Soul Providers Management, and his organization styled “themselves out as music producers, rappers, entrepreneurs, club owners, clothing designers and other legitimate occupations in order to conceal the true source of their income.”

When the indictment was handed down last April, Clipse member Malice released a video showing his modest family life, and denied the group had a legitimate drug dealer lifestyle as portrayed in their music.

The Clipse’s latest album, Til the Casket Drops, was released on December 8.
